Hey people ! I'm back with a nice post on my trip to Universal Studios Singapore.

It may sound like some massive propaganda, but trust me , the trip was nice.

And also, I do need something nice to sprinkle this minuscule claustrophobic space of mine right?

Or else no one will read ):

Someone please advise if I should close this suffocating space of mine .

Okay anyway, so I went USS on Tues.

(I'll try my best to describe the experience as vividly as possible. I suck at describing.)

So we went in, walked around.

Its crowded.

But anyway, we first went to Lights,Camera,Action Hosted by Steven Spielberg.

It is this mega cool soundstage, where they actually showed you how a hurricane in NewYork can be simulated in just a small typical behind-the-scenes soundstage.

Gosh it was damn cool. Its like they had all this boats capsizing, catching fire, windows blown off, lightning, thunder, fire on floodwater and more.

All this, in just a small mini space of 2 bedrooms.

How cool is that . (told you my vocab's limited.)

You see, these cameras need flash to capture nice photos, so flashphotography wasn't allowed and yeah, you see blopblops.

Okay so after this we went to watch a rock musical, featuring all infamous Universal characters, like Frankestein, Dracula, Phantom.

Initially it was just rock,rock and more rock.

Then you know they started singing NOBODY!

OMG i was like WTF?!

Okay this awesome place is called Water World.
Its a show, where stunning life effects like explosives are used.
Motorboats too !
I don't wish to reveal the plot yeah, go watch yourselves and gape in awe (:

SCIFI CITY, featuring Battlestar Galactica, which is not yet opened.
~~Even if its open I wouldn't even dare to try ):~~

Entrance to Ancient Egypt.

The main attraction of Ancient Egypt is this.
Revenge of the Mummy Ride.
OHEMGEE when they indicate on the notice outside that it is a high speed roller coaster ride, please do not take it lightly.
To spoil the fun, the ride actually reverses. Okay reversing is not scary at all,
but REVERSING AT A VERY HIGH SPEED AND THEN PLUNGING DOWN IS VERY VERY SCARY !
Gosh I totally screamed my lungs out during the whole ride !
When we alighted a girl was crying I think.
But I think its worth a try, though its real scary.
Scary but fun yeah LOL.

At Jurassic World.
Nothing much except for the Rapid Adventures ride,which I didn't try because it was raining.
Oh,if you're really gonna try this ride you'll have to buy a poncho, or bring one yourself. Or if you choose to get your whole body ENTIRELY soaked then so be it.
I saw this group of guys, their shirts and pants totally wet as if they've just came back from the storm of the century.

This is a ride inside Fairy Godmother's Potion Shop, for kids.
But I think its uber cool to have a ride in a shop !
Okay then we went to watch this Donkey Show.

Yeah, so I went down yesterday to learn how to put it in (Its part of their policy to teach, so you don't hurt your eyes.)

Gosh, its really hard to get it in and out for a first-timer.

I shall rant all the feelings that just reigned in me for the past week.

ISP, the Intensive Study Programme, the only study programme I was not rejecting.

And yet, it disappointed me thoroughly.

TOTALLY, COMPLETELY.

They should have totally changed it to Intensive Exam Programme, that would have been a more convincing title for the programme.

And we may have geared up and braced ourselves in the face of mock prelims, mock prelims and more mock prelims.

But we didn't.

And we were hell shocked when the news was thrown upon us that all 3 Sciences were having the mock prelims that tested the topics from cover to back.

I question the purpose of ISP.

Wasn't it to surface our weaknesses, go through past year papers and highlight keywords that we should use when approaching questions ?

Wasn't it that the case?

I thought so, because in that way we would know specifically how to go about revising in our holidays.

In the end, it just came like a bucket of cold water, splashed on us before we can even retaliate.

And all we could do in the afternoons and nights were to mug, mug and mug.

MUG AIMLESSLY.

Is that what the school wants?

To train us to mug textbooks and notes from tip to toe?

Wouldn't it be better if they only focussed on certain topics?

And I don't see the point in mock prelims because the papers are not returned to us.

So how the hell are we supposed to study STRATEGICALLY (as advocated by Sara/Allen) when we don't know where our mistakes are?

Don't the teachers weigh out the pros and cons of mock prelims?

Furthermore, the onslaughts of mock prelims have led students to be numb.

A question : How many of you studied like hell for mock prelims ? How many of you took it seriously ?

Very few hands I see.

People are numbed, they don't take them seriously.

That totally defeats the purpose of setting mock prelims at first.

Sometimes, I think teachers should seriously put themselves in our shoes before they do anything, because we are ultimately the one who are going to sit for the exams, not them.

Anyway, the only good thing about ISP was PRINCE OF PERSIA.

TOTALLY AWESOME MOVIE.

If it was Shrek I'd have died halfway through.

There's this immediate sense of release and freedom the moment the examiner said 'Pens down' during the bio paper.
A huge burden off; you feel that your shoulders can move with much more ease.
HMT - Gosh this ppr was such a disappointment. Yeah, you say B3 is a good grade, since a lot of us did real badly. But, to my expectations, it sucks. Grah.
English - *crosses my fingers* Don't think I'll do well too.
SS - YAY A1 :D
Emaths - Was totally pissed off with the careless mistakes I made ! I lost 3 marks carelessly. A1 still :D
History - YAY FULL MARKS (shit geog students don't kill me)
Me : Mum I got full marks for history lehs.

It involves time and vigorous mental activity.

And this is what I get in return.

I can only stare at you and give you a 'huh'.

And the only thing I could do was to cancel my hard work out, biting on my lower lip to stave off tears.

And that was the one and only thing I could do.

I was powerless; retaliation wouldn't do me any good.

That kaleidoscope of helplessness,disappointment and anger made me speechless.

I could only nod my head unwillingly and retreat .

And, patience.

I witnessed how impatience could make the victim jittery and even have the urge to cry.

I didn't know what happened to him; I only knew he was frustrated.

But as an education worker, shouldn't you be patient with your students?

And your behaviour totally contradicts what you said.

"Its okay to ask for help".

I simply cannot understand the reason for venting your frustration on a student, which by no means has offended you anyway.

You know the terrible feeling of worrying about your grades?

Whether it'll be a pass or a fail?

Especially when its a major exam?

Ask yourself, if you have met the criteria for stepping into a school.

But no one ultimately cares right.

These troubles come and go,come and go.

The pathetic thing is, after so much that had happened, I can only leave my tears to flow down my cheeks without any control over them.

How is it that there are only tears, tears and only tears ?

Why isn't there any solution?

I talk to my friends, receive their sympathetic consolations with a smile on my face, and when I turn around its all empty.

Still,my troubles ain't solved.

I don't blame them for that; they are as powerless as I am.

Knowing everything seems good sometimes, but it turns ugly when you see the filmsy transparency of things.

You get too disappointed at the truth.

It tells you right in the face that what you've believed was totally bullshit.

You feel that your trust have been downtrodden on, and you can't do a single thing about it.

You don't even have the will and energy to raise a hand,while the real situation hits you repeatedly.

You can't, you have no means to retaliate at all.

When you see too much,know too much, hear too much, you're constantly overwhelmed by onslaughts of the cruel truth, truth and more truth.

You suddenly yearn for lies.

And the vicious cycle spins itself again, with a will of its own.

In the end, you can only sigh pathetically.

Elearning

Surprisingly enough, I'm not planning to post about S.H.E.'s concert now, which was TOTALLY AWESOME !

I guess, I'm just in the rambling,grumbling mood today.

I don't see the point in Elearning Day.

I faithfully do understand the objectives behind it,and it makes me think that there really is a need for such an event.

Yes, I totally comprehend the school's concern regarding sudden closures due to pandemics or other serious incidents.

I recognise the need of having to prepare students for such an emergency, for we may all be lost sheep when that happens.

Of course, there is still a possibility of a more serious breakout of H1N1.

However, it is displeasing to access the designated websites and face the whole hell load of, 'Server Busy','Bad Request' .

The list goes on.

I've witnessed how my brother's Heymath test result was given a 'NIL' due to the overloaded server.

The teacher-in-charge was informed and apparently his computer was hanging too.

The teachers in charge of this whole event should know about overloaded servers right ?

With so many classes of students going in at one shot, won't the server hang?

Technical difficulties are certainly unavoidable,but it really sucks to be at home with no one to help you with.

It is even worse if you can help your sibling/friend but it doesn't work.

This year's programme allows us to prioritise the tasks we are told to do.

Is this a measure against overloading?

If it is, it certainly does not do any good, not that non-prioritisation solves the problem.

Besides, having to stare at the computer screen is very tiring,much more tiring than sitting in class and listening to lectures.

I understand that this is unavoidable; the school can do nothing about it.

But the whole process of elearning is just uncomfortable for me.

Nonetheless, I'm still glad that this year's elearning tasks were not as taxing as those of last year.

I managed to complete all by 3+ because I was away for ~~an hour~~ of recess :D

Okay enough of talking.

To judge or not to judge, that's a question

I don't believe in categorising people into stereotypes, nor judging people as the way they are just plainly by gossips or by their appearance.
Worst of all, alot if people judge by stereotyping.
If you had just thought Person A is a nerd because he does his homework the first thing he reaches home, you're
absolutely wrong and you deserve a slap .
Please,please don't judge a book by it's cover.
Through gossips, the best thing you can get to know about Person A is how she has an attitude problem.
Gossips, being gossips, may not be exactly true.
Most of the times, they're derogatory.
It's not being fair to that person if you've this pre-judged mindset of him/her.
You don't know the person; you didn't hang out with him/her, you'll never ever know what kind of person he/she is.
A pre-judged mindset totally changes the way you look at the person and of course, treatments will be significantly different.
I know, there are some people whom you just don't like them from the very very start.
This is totally normal and totally fine.
However,you can just jolly well do a good job by not talking to that person .
You don't have to care about whether her ex's has gotten a new stead or whether she camwhores or not and discuss about it with friends around.

My point is , there is no such thing as stereotyping everyone and judging them even without knowing them.
Girls with blouses tucked all the way in and with their skirts so high up that they may as well just wear the skirt without the blouse ?
Yeah you think they're nerds , dumb unfashionistas.
Does it really matter?
Are they really nerds?
Are they really bigtime suckers with absolutely no life?
Think again.
I met a few, and I'm so gonna tell you that you're wrong.
I admit that I used to categorise them under nerds who study the whole damned day.
After I hanged out with them, i realized that it is glaringly contrasting.

I'm not trying to preach to you my thoughts and beliefs, which I may one day outgrow them myself.
In fact, for the past few posts I've been talking so much about ideals and beliefs of mine that you may think I'm rather self-conceited, trying to drum my ideals into yours.
No,I'm not doing that.
It's just that in the past few days a Loy of stuff happened here and there which sparked off a series of thoughts in my mind.

As the title suggests, you're absolutely not compelled to read whatever that is written because it's just another chance where I feel like writin something to kind of , satisfy my urge of writing something.

1) I passed my physics test with a B !
Perhaps you can't imagine my jubilation when I received my paper. I looked at the mark, and the first thought I had was, 'I improved !'
even though it was only by 2 marks, but at least it was still an improvement.
At least I didn't fail.
Not that I'm looking down on those who failed, but I'm real glad that I improved.
Imagine improving by 2 marks for every test, that'll mean another 3 tests to get an A1.
I swear I'm gonna work real hard for my olvls.
I don't want any regrets.

2) Negative Criticisms
I don't believe in criticising negatively of what other people has done publicly.
Even if you phrase your sentences in nice sarcasm.
Unfortunately nice sarcasms are hard to come by and alot of people make negative comments and sprinkle them with some vulgarities and top it all of by clicking the 'submit' button.
Hello my dear, just in case you haven't notice, you're outing your juicy and tasty comments on a page where someone in Canada can see it.
Nonetheless, singaporeans and your closer counterparts like your schoolmates.
It doesn't reflect well on you.
Hell no.
You can rattle to your friends about it, and kindly let your friends or your family members listen to your criticisms and ramblings.
That's alright . Totally fine.
Gossips are gossips, so long as they don't spread like a plague and hurt people's feelings, it's definitely okay.
But putting them openly on a webpage is not really a mature thing to do, especially if it's some mindless derogatory comment, or even statements with vulgarities.
Learn to accept things and look upon them as just the way they are.
Appreciate what others have done, even though you don't like it.
It's somebody else's effort.
We,the bystanders , have absolutely no right to judge.

3) Friends
It's hard,very hard to get real friends nowadays.
I'm really really glad that I'm not in a class of hypocrites.
When X told me what she was facing, I was shocked.
Those who heard it, were equally shocked.
How is it the people nowadays can get so realistic at an age of not many 20 years old?
Is it the environment you were brought up in?
The desire for learning, the hunger to win is present in all Man.
It is justifiable that one wants to be at top.
But I just can't understand why you have to do it to sucha large extent that everyone is naturally frightened.
Frightened.
I don't wish to preach to them about moral values and whatnot.
Because I do know that it's hard for them to change, and perhaps they'll just stay in this way till they're old, and bring it with them when they die.
When you're old, turn back and look .
Perhaps by then you'll truly understand what I mean.
This is something that has to be acquired and learnt by yourself.

And the moon shone high in the clear blue sky, and all was bright and gay.
How lovely will it be if this turns into reality.

Gosh I haven't blog in a billionmillionwillion years.
Alrright so got back almost all our pprs except for bio and english ( cross fingers )
didn't hit my target for some subjects but nonetheless I tried my best :)
but I'm happaye to get a B for my physics .
And that most of my subjects remained at the same lvl.
Guess this common test has really spurred me to want to achieve more.
Cai Lao shi wrote in my essay that she expects 10 A1s from me when I just wanted 9.
Well it's freak'gly impossible but I'll set them as a target.

Venue : Changi Airport Food Court.
Date : 12/12 (Day back from Taiwan)
so the bloody food court was so damn bloody packed so thr's obviously no place for my family.
so we hunted for places and saw a table of uncles and aunties finish'g their food.
so we stood beside,obviously hint'g that we're wait'g for you seat.
apparently they've finished their food and are talk'g abt stuffs (real stupid stuffs)
hello the seat is meant for those who want to EAT,not to talk.
this is not some cafe and furthermore its peak hr so can you be more considerate?
however they don't seem to get this point.
sever brain blockage is it.
me and my bro were real pissed but we waited anw,hop'g that they will suddenly awake and suddenly realise they've a conscience and suddenly let us have their seats.
what,NO.
they just went on blah'g and blah'g and blah'g.
yes,i'm not say'g you're obliged to give up your seat,its your choice.

gosh i'm feel'g real terrible now.
stomach flu + fever.
vomitted the whole day ystd.
totally felt like throw'g up my entire intestines.
okay i shall continue my taiwan post.

Day 4
Went to Kending(垦丁),famous for its sandy beaches and film scenes.
我在垦丁天气晴/流星花园/海角七号 are filmed thr.
nice scenery arnd.

gosh i know this pic is terrible,but we happened to pass by this ice-cream restaurant.
and i was like totally zomgwtfbbq when i saw it 'cos its the icecream restaurant in 海派甜心! :DDDDDDD

then went LiuHeYeShi (六合夜市) which was v.crowded.
the food is v.nice :D
had 鸡排/steamed salty prawns/虾仔煎/chickenpopcorn/icecream/tangyuan.
鸡排was marinated with 胡椒,which is freak'g hot but still nice.
hot but got 快感. :D
steamed salty prawns was real salty but still nice.
yeah i know my description is do'g the food injustice.
but they're just all freak'g freak'g nice :D

Day 5
went to take a train arnd and thr's many nice scenery :D

alighted from the train and visited this "Cow's Home".
its someth'g like a farm.

then ltr went to this 集集小镇 and visited the train staion thr.

i'm back from TAIWAN!
so the post gonna be really long with pics and stuffs :D

Day 1
okay so took SQ 878 to Taipei TaoYuan Airport.
Meal onboard was terrific.
Uh forgot the exact name of the dish,but its just stirfry pork with rice.
freakin' nice.
watched a lil of harry potter but mostly busy'g myself with my ipod.
reached TaoYuan Airport abt 5hrs ltr.
alighted and saw someth'g that made me and my sis go crazy.
was totally like omgomgomgomg.

see once we step into the airport they thr welcom'g us le :DDDDD
they're the 旅游大使 for this yr :D
okay proceeded to meet our guide for the trip.
MrXian,a pretty good man who knows a great deal of history.
should go be history tcher instead.
he busied us with lots and lots of stories abt taiwan along the journey.
god he's knowledgeable :DDD
then went to 头城农场.
yeah its a farm,but not a bad one.
apparently pioneer jc was thr too.what a coincidence man.

had BBQ dinner (oishi!:D) and wrote wishes on bamboo plates.

so basically it this giant plastic sheet and they fold it into a giant lantern.
you write your wishes on the plastic sheet and release it into the sky,by light'g someth'g below it. the 天灯 will 'fly' (what bad vocabulary) to the sky,tak'g your wishes to heavens.

its the same place again; we had some time aft breakfast before we went a lil uphill to feed goats :D

okay so the park is someth'g like yellowstone national park and thr is all this talltall machines,
that reminds me of 2012 lol.
this park is mountaineous and pretty dangerous,'cos anytime rocks will tumble from the mountains abv.
actually they're marble but for convenience sake i shall use rocks/stones :D
so they marked out a specific area where its safe to walk.
and you've to wear safety helmets that make you look like construction workers :X
so scary.
at the non-marked out areas are really bigbig stones that had dropped from the mountains.
big and scary.
被打到必死无疑 okay.
these stones are really abundant thr
when i say abundant i mean it okay.
research have shown that humans can continue to extract these rocks from thr without worries that it'll run out.
it has sufficient resources for 10000 yrs.
no joke okay.
these rocks are used to make marble floor'g like those at taipei 101.

aft that we were brought to a factory that processes the marble stones abv.
they also have a jade showroom.
the jade exhibits are real nice :D

and then we proceeded to a 剧场 at HuaLien (花莲) for a 阿美族 performance.
for those who don't know what's 阿美族,its the largest native tribal grp in taiwan.
A-Mei(张惠妹) is someone from 阿美族.
they have especially nice and loud vocals.

yeah was forced to dance with them lol.
ate and returned to our hotel.花莲亚士都饭店.
god this hotel is nice.
nice LCD tv/big room fac'g the sea :D

Day 3

aft breakfast went to 八仙洞.
its just a cave which resembles the environment in the folklore of the eight deities.

aft that we went to 三仙台. its these 3 big rocks,so big that they make up an island by themselves.
its prominent feature gave rise to a local legend that three of the eight immortals, LuDongBing/HeXianGu/TieGuaiLi once landed thr.

and we went to 泡温泉 :D
the place is prettaye small so i didn't go down to pao.
besides i don't want to use the public one so just pao my feet.
god the public pools got a lot of ppl,
who is either unaware of their figure or v.aware till they want to show off.
no good figure still wear tight fitt'g swimsuits and bikinis somemore.
seriously zomgwtfbbq okay.
should have snapped and put it here.

then went to our resort,小熊度假村.
thr's this GALA NIGHT event thr which was terribly fun!
the whole audience had to dance to 你是我的花朵 and 桃花朵朵开(lol T1 trademark)
and thr was this game we had for every orientation.
the one where 'the grp which comes up quickly with 5 socks will win'
yeah i suck at describ'g but yeah that the game.
thr's this super fun pt when the host ask us for the grp with the greatest no. of ppl.
lol then like everyone go up.
actually we were bluffed on stage for a dance.
yeah this whole pt's real sucky b'cos of the grammar and language.
would be much better if they use sorry sorry 'cos its like more fun.
but too bad the crowd's got a lot of *ahems* middleaged people so perhaps some movements,like the twist'g of the legs.
oh god see bad description.
uh,its the 2nd movement of the dance.

ohoh,and did i tell you?
since we were only stay'g for one night at the hotel,
and my mum requested for an adjoined room,
the hotel guy said we could stay at the family suite!
aww man,and no additional charges.
f.y.i,we booked 2 normal rooms,which are far cheaper than the family suite room!
room is on the 36th(wtf?!) floor,
and the highest was 43,and its a penthouse! 0.0
the lift is superuper cool,you need to slot your hotel card into it,and
you lvl no.will be automatically pressed.
high security yeahs,to prevent outsiders from anyhow enter'g into other people's rooms and lvls.
the room was superuper big,with 2 bedrooms,2 tvs,1 kitchen,2 bathrooms :D
and then shoppedshopped.
